The county’s senior team had a 446-419 win against Wales in the ‘Endsleigh’ Senior County Championship match on Sunday. A convincing 243-194 win at Irlam Steel and a very creditable 203-225 loss at Betws-yn Rhos meant an overall 37 chalk victory. Full individual results are on the Senior County page. The next match is against The Potteries on Sunday 1st June.
The Senior Merit starts on Saturday 19th May at Hopwood Unionist. Full list of qualifying sessions is on the Competitions page. Closing date is 18th May.
Which vets league is the best in the county? Four leagues will battle for this honour in a round-robin competition on Monday 21st May at Alexandra Park starting at 11 a.m. The leagues are the Oldham Mens, Tameside Mens, Middleton Mens and Salford Mens.
The Vets Merit is on Monday 28th May starting at 11.30 a.m. at Chadderton Hall Park. Entries, at £5, are still being accepted. Ring David Williams on 07899688182. |
